About

Stephanie Cook is on a lifelong journey to integrate the world of the analyzing, achieving mind with that of the flowing, natural body into a peaceful energetic flow that sustains both joy and achievement. From a small town in a peaceful valley, Stephanie began her studies by attending one of the world’s premier boarding high schools, Phillips Academy in Andover MA, where she was one of several girls in the highest level math and physics program. While there, she began to study women’s journey through life, both in coursework and in casual observation. At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stephanie majored in Mathematics, with a minor in Women’s Studies.

A natural observer of self and others, Stephanie honed these skills with her Masters in Counseling Psychology at Lesley University and her training as a Life Coach. She is fascinated by what motivates people and skilled in helping smart women unwind from their minds and connect to their deep belly connection to motivate them toward whatever it takes to have what matters most to them.

Stephanie has been a stay-at-home mother and is now a single mom of two teenaged boys. She has kept her balance as a parent by radical self-care in the form of surfing, triathlon, yoga and meditation. Stephanie is also a certified JourneyDance teacher and Zumba instructor.

Stephanie’s journey through high-powered educational institutions, parenting challenges, meditation, surfing, triathlon, yoga and life coaching brought her to a peaceful flow of independent success that she calls Free Motion. Through it all, Stephanie kept her love of dancing for its own sake, and soon realized that moving your body moves your life. She teaches the principles of Free Motion through her fun movement-based programs that weave in visioning and action steps for lasting change. Stephanie encourages women in high-intensity professions to put on their party dresses and and join their unique energy with the life flowing around them.
