Women business owners have an abundance of male energy – out in the world, making things happen, in charge, outward, manifesting. That’s part of why we have businesses. Of course at the same time we are women and we naturally have access to a powerful, flowing, directionless, encompassing energy.
I used to oscillate between the two. Either math/science jock or hippie girl running around in the woods. As I’ve grown older, I’ve found that integrating the two gives me a powerful surge of energy as if life is a giant wave on the ocean and I’m riding it all the way into shore, with all of my individual powers and the powers of the universe working in harmony.
This integration is a constant balancing act, which on a good day sustains my energy level so that I can produce more in less time while feeling that my whole life is a party whether I’m on personal time or in my work production mode. Surfing on the ocean for real with a surfboard is one of the activities that gives me this feeling right away without having to do the balancing act. Dancing is another.
To spread this powerful, joyful feeling that comes from being connected at your core while engaging in your busy life, I offer programs that combine 11 minutes of dancing with visualization and commitments to small actions that make a big difference. Sometimes we can go to the beach for the morning, ride a bike for three hours, take a 90 minute yoga class…sometimes we can’t. We can almost always stop what we’re doing for 11 minutes and move around to our natural rhythms as we think about our goals. Then we return rejuvenated and ready to ride the wave straight in to shore – high production the fun way!

Yeah to you Stephanie for leading the way in integrating all those different parts of your personality. So many of my clients feel they have to leave part of themselves at home when they go to work….. ‘my company wouldn’t approve of the friends I have’…. or ‘I have to keep the impulsive part of me away’…. What you are talking about is a real inspiration – ‘Just the one of me’….
Stephanie, great post about balancing these two energies. I love the surfing image! Thanks for the reminder to dedicate 11minutes of my day tomorrow to dancing and feeling my feminine energy.
Looking forward to more posts!
